I'd like to know what people can tell me about their experiences using interactive videos to teach Shakespeare. I'm learning Hypercard so I can hook up a public domain text to a video changer. The idea is to let a student--who may be confused about what is going on in a scene--pull up different staged versions of the scene. Watching a video all the way through has its uses, but I want to use different productions to emphasize the constructive nature of interpretation. The complete video can also be too much of a good thing: once a student knows the story, focusing on the scene should encourage more critical thinking. Has anyone tried this?
