This conference has as its topic "Shakespeare's Dream and the Place of Performance" and is taking place concurrently with the opening of the new Greer Garson Theatre, a 386-seat house featuring a classical thrust stage. Additionally, the Executive Committee Meeting of the International Association of Theatre Critics will be also taking place on campus. Speakers at the conference will include: Stephen Orgel, Jackson Eli Reynolds Professor of Humanities at Stanford University Mark Lamos, Artistic Director at the Hartford Stage Deborah Warner, Associate Director, Royal National Theatre Barry Edelstein, Dramaturg for the New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theatre John Elsom, President of the International Association of Theatre Critics There are more who have confirmed and from whom we expect confirmation.
