Here's an update, of sorts, to a previous announcement about a conference
at Southern Methodist University. This conference has as its topic
"Shakespeare's Dream and the Place of Performance" and is taking place
concurrently with the opening of the new Greer Garson Theatre, a 386-seat
house featuring a classical thrust stage. Additionally, the Executive
Committee Meeting of the International Association of Theatre Critics
will be also taking place on campus. Speakers at the conference will
include:

Stephen Orgel, Jackson Eli Reynolds Professor of Humanities
		at Stanford University
Mark Lamos, Artistic Director at the Hartford Stage
Deborah Warner, Associate Director, Royal National Theatre
Barry Edelstein, Dramaturg for the New York Shakespeare
		Festival/Public Theatre
John Elsom, President of the International Association of
		Theatre Critics

There are more who have confirmed and from whom we expect confirmation.

The conference dates are September 17-19, 1992. For further information,
please call Chris Schrum at (214) 692-2671.
