Subject: Hamlet - the mystery text.

Ken;

     Within the initial stage direction the text which you published proved
not to be the 1733 Theobald (is there a quarto designation?).

     The setting Elsinore is missing totally, and the platform is before a
'palace' not the 'castle'. Francisco and Bernardo are noted to be 'centinels'
and come on stage at the same time. Their entrance is not clearly defined as
being from opposite sides of the stage or one (presumably Francisco) entering
first followed by the other.

     I did not pursue the matter further.
